the car had of been hit in such a way that caused the top mount were radiator bolts to bend back.

since that's were the hood latch mounts it causes prevention of the hood latching.

i bend it forward and when hood comes down just pushes the latch back preventing it from latching with the hood.

i managed to make it stay and the hood did latch. now how to make a permanent way to prevent that bar from bending back again:confused:

dunno how to do that.

would a 95 Legacy Motor work in a 90 Legacy ?

Yes, but if you don't even know how to use a flipping test light what are you even trying for?

Try reading some basic testing and repair manuals before you start wasting our time asking irrelevant questions.

If you don't know wether or not voltage is getting to the motor, how can you diagnos it as bad?

Heck just run 2 wires to the motor and put 12v on it. Try it both ways, wires one way is up, the other is down. if the motor doesn't respond to direct voltage, THEN it can be deemed bad.

did that. motor moved slightly. then didn't move again in neither up or down

and excuse me for not knowing how to use a test thing... i never learned to use one.

you never learned how to use a test light? come on dude, its common sense.. you clip the alligator clip to a ground and stab a positive wire with the end of the probe.... if its getting power the handle of the probe lights up..

I find it hard to believe that someone who is capable of changing a fender, doesnt know how to use a test light

Update:

a local yard called Seaman's Auto Wrecking has outback struts and for only $10ea if i pull them.

as soon as i get the money i'll go buy all 4 and put them on my legacy :)

Nice to know you're getting those Outback struts!

When you get them installed, tell us how much higher it is!

I'd like to know if the ground clearance exceeds that of my Outback (which has a listed ground clearance of 7.3 inches).

now what models had these ? Turbo did dint they ?

i know were 1 92-94 Legacy Turbo wagon sits.

I'm thinking its a 3.90 Gear Ratio ? while my non Turbo is 4.111

is the turbo 3.90? or a 4.11 ?
