should i go ahead and add the subaru conditioner to the 2000 legacy 2.5 , no over heating ,no problems now, or wait ? or over kill

if it hasn't been added then yes, it is "required" by Subaru. it is supposed to be added with every coolant change. regular coolant changes are a good idea too if that is unknown.
