December 14, 200916 yr Can someone confirm whether or not the Gen2 Brats had different dashboards ? Mine is VERY badly cracked and decided to go and buy a dashboard cover. It seems I have a DL version and it doesnt appear to line up (seams and creases ) with my GL ????:-\ cheers David
December 14, 200916 yr the DL was just a different body i believe, it didn't have the fun tops there shouldn't be a issue

Just idiot lights for temp and oil.
December 15, 200916 yr The DL dash on the Gen 2 Brats was indeed different than the GL's. It was more like the Gen 1's, and a dash cover for a GL wont really fit a DL dash, and vice versa. -Bill

August 27, 201015 yr My 82 GL has no ttops A center head light Vinal seats and a vinal floor mat no carpet and a sliding rear glass. Its set up like a STD hatch but with a GL dash
August 7, 201114 yr yea, the whole dl/gl thing confuses me. my 83 brat has t-tops, dual range 4x4, the nicer style dash, and slider rear window. but it also has 2 headlights, not 4. i personally like the 2 headlights. to ME< it looks more truckish, less passenger car style.
August 7, 201114 yr see why its so confusing is there were (now I'm not saying this makes them rare or anything) factory special orders like Mine which was used on a ranch in CO. where they had six brats just alike white with blue vinyl intirer a vinyl floor no t tops a full gauge cluster with a factory winch bull bar and roll bar so' there were odd balls through in the mix but this is almost common in aussie and NZ so was the two head light setup which they keep through 94 and we only got in 82
