brat bed length

Featured Replies

Anyone know the dimension of a brat bed? like an 82. Im thinking of buying one but wanna know if my honda shadow can fit in the bed of it, Thanks.

I don't think it will AND let the tailgate close. With the tailgate open likely but then alternate display for rear license might be needed.

If it doesn't have the seats in the back the bed is about 5'-2" long (cab wall to closed tailgate). You'd pick up another 18" or so if the gate is left open. If it has the seats in you only have about 3'-4" from the edge of seats to the closed tailgate. The bed is about 4'-2" wide but then the wheel wells cut that down by about 1'-4" total at mid bed. They aren't very big, especially with the seats in!

That's very hard to say - "brat bed length". A real tongue twister. I was merely reading it and it was an eye twister as well.

The bike will fit, the tailgate will need to be open, or you will have to lift the back of the bike up to close:eek:, sounds like a bummer. I have hauled a TT500 in a first gen brat many times, never been stopped for the plate problem. If the seats are in you may be able to put the front wheel between them as I have, so the brat is like the minimum motorcycle hauler but they do look cool in there............G
