84 Brat

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Checked out an '84 Brat today......lots of rust:(

The rocker panels are rotted away, just 'bout the same at the bed. Also door bottoms are gone as well as a support bracket ( i guess ) that runs under front of floor pan from frame. Did some shopping today on line, looks like rocker panels are oem as well as door shells. Any body found otherwise? Is this typical on older Brats..or should I run from this one.

Thanks

If you live in WA as your info say - RUN. That is not at all typical here. It spent time on the coast or in the mid-west/east.

I would also say RUN. You are lucky to live in WA and i am sure there are plenty of other Brats out there that you will have better luck with.

Yes I live in Wa, just on the ocean.....and 18 miles of beach that can be driven on. The way the air can eat up a car here is amazing. I have pics that would easily rival any east coast road salt rust.

Only good for specialty BRAT parts. Anything else could be found cheap. If you cam get it for under $100 I would buy it as a parts BRAT.

yep, im the guys last resort when he cant get what he wants for it. even parting a rig here is pretty difficult as were a 2 hour drive from any larger city.
