Unidentified EA81T part....

Featured Replies

I can't find it in my parts book at all. it appears to be a vac valve sort of.... mounted on the passenger side firewall near the vacuum pumps, cruise, etc...

it has 2 large connectors in-line, then a smaller connector as well

looks like this (the "o" is actually nothing, it'sa spacer to keep the lines lined up :) )

=|=

O|=

it's attached to the firewall with 2 screws.

top left connector goes to the vapor canister

top right (the one broken) went to the small connector on the bottom of the metal intake plenum

lower right (small one) goes down to a round object slightly smaller than a softball.

What is it?

lower right (small one) goes down to a round object slightly smaller than a softball.

The softball thing sounds like the cruise control vacuum canister

my guess is that this unknown part is part of the cruise system

I was wondering about it, but it's tied to the turbo to intake instead of the manifold with the one hose, and charcoal canister with the other hose...

turns out this wasn't my fuel smell issue. my right front injector is leaking badly again...

it might be the sensor that hooks to the dash aqnd lits up at 2 lbs with the green "turbo" lite. give a picture and I can ID it

Mick,

Post a picture, if I don't know, a friend of mine has work at W&L subaru for 25 years, he'll know. You got the digidash? no fair!

Jay
