July 1, 201015 yr my 94 legacy is fwd. was wondering if i need a specific engine for it since im needing a new engine or would any engine 91-94 work as i think it will?
July 1, 201015 yr Hopefully someone with more experience on this year range will chime in. Engine doesn't care which tranny. Like 90-91 have one color injectors more prone to problems. I believe 92-94 have more reliable injectors. But I think 91-94 are all linterchangable as long as you're swapping the whole engine.
July 1, 201015 yr Check out Craigslist. If you're in Saluda VA, Richmond isn't too far to look for a parts car. You may even find a whole running car in better shape.
July 1, 201015 yr im in north carolina Perhaps you would consider adding "NC" after "Saluda" in your ID.

July 1, 201015 yr Author thanks john i might end up going and getting that 200 dollar subie. really good option. the one thing on my mind with it. i would have to tow it. my way is asking my buddy to hook up his car dolly and use go up there and get it. any problems on towing it?
July 1, 201015 yr It says it's AWD so I believe you could tow it if you removed the rear segment (?) of the driveshaft. Try a search--it was discussed a lot awhile back.
