August 17, 201015 yr I didn't know they made a RX for that generation of subies, were those JDM only?
August 18, 201015 yr That link has been posted before The RX has been around since atleast 1974 as a 1400 RX Leone. It came with 5 speed
February 19, 201313 yr Slowest high speed chase ever. Most anti-climatic "car over a cliff" ending. More like, "Two cars go for a drive. Then one car drives down a steep hill." Still cool seeing those old Subie's though!!
February 19, 201313 yr They sound fantastic... Watched the new Die Hard movie last week, chock full of Mercedes products at every available opportunity... that said, product placement's not a new concept, watching this clip! :-)
February 22, 201313 yr Re-post or not I hadn't seen it. Great classic car porn clip; what I wouldn't give to travel back to the 70's in Japan and test drive as many cars as I could get my hands on.
February 24, 201313 yr Killer Post!!! I hope it stays up!!! I"m sure the RX LEON had the 4 BBL. option on it since it looked like the rally setup I was listening to it and you could hear the difference between the two in the car!! I looked at the sanbar van on the dyno-BADA** 14HP-23#s torque I would"ve like to seen the RPMs too It sounded like 6-7000!!! WAY COOL!!!
February 24, 201313 yr What a shame to see that RX get smashed all to heck. It was "just a car" back then. Looks like in some of the shots, you could see the roll bar. Too cool. I wonder if any of those cars even still exist? You'd probably have to have a lot of cheddar to get your hands on one though.
March 12, 201313 yr I'm pretty sure they sped this film up to make it as riveting as this was. I was on the edge of my seat for 8 minutes. Great post. Cool to see the old Soobs.
