Window Deflectors

Featured Replies

So I have a 1986 GL Sedan

Theres these rear window deflectors that the paint/sticker is peeling and looks gross. So I want to repaint mine.

Took them off my friends GL-10 but when you put them back on, they wobble ALOT and I wont let them come off my car because I dont want to lose them

What do I need to do to get them off cleanly, paint them up (just black again) and put them back on and have them stick...

Last resort, gorilla glue :drunk::brow:

I would just mask of the part of the car you don't want painted and spray away!

You won't have any success trying to remove them and put them back. Never happen - they are 25 years old and brittle. As Spencer noted - mask the car around them.

What they both said... did that on my project legacy and it worked great. I chipped off most if not all of the flaking black stuff. Sanded it all smooth, masked off the body of the car and primed and painted em black again :D

May have to wait until a hot day comes then. I was thinking I would take mine off, prime them and paint them, but not leave them in the garage (I have bad luck with paint chipping in there) and just put them in a box and stick them inside by a heater...

But If Im not removing them... Then... Yea. Cant bring Ned into the house and stick him by a heater... As much as I want to :headbang:
