I am going to go look at this in person in the next few days but wanted you guys opinions. Im more of an early 80's guy and this is a little older than my expertise.

My gut says its probably too far gone in the frame rail rust and the black paint is probably hiding more than anyone wants to admit but let me know opinions. I think its probably worth more parted out than as a vehicle. I believe its currently not running but that could be solved pretty easily.

If you guys would like anything off it that you see on the photos please let me know via PM with an offer amount. (assuming you think it needs to be parted).

yeah, overall complete, but there is some very serious rot (affecting safetey integrity) in the right rear quarter in front of the wheel where is meets the rocker panel.

and in photo 22, thats serious rot.

I will buy the gen 2 rollbar, since its not period correct to that one.

I would say its good for parts, but not to repair and make safe on the road.

good parts car

Its fixable but would take a lot of time and effort. If I were to fix it, I'd find another body or even find a body in the yard somewhere around there and cut out the pieces to splice into that body. But its an '81 GL with an EA81 and d/r 4-speed from the looks of it. Either that or someone swapped the cluster:rolleyes:

It has an 80's steering wheel on it too.

yeah, with the rot in front of the rear wheel like that, really check the area around the torsion bar mounts inside the wheel well... I see the area in front of the front struts area is starting to rot too...

to me, that's a "sell accessories off it, run it till it falls apart, then finish parting it out" vehicle...

That's not a Gen2 Roll Bar, it's a custom made one...

cool i only want oem stuff.

sell the good stuffs, get it running if you can, maybe a good rustfree shell will come up.

If it where up here in the Northeast I would probably fix it, it's really not much worse than mine was when I started, but I most likely wouldn't go through fixing one *that* rusty again. I say parts.

Anyone here want anything off the car? I don't want to be buying a car to save parts for everybody just to store them. They need to go out the door and be on your cars instead.

I'm interested in the front brush guard. Don't know what you'd want for it? Shipped to Missoula, MT 59801.

Thanks

Keith
