I think I found the first thing that I don't like about my Subaru. How are you suppose to get at the oil pan bolts and the rear of the pan?? Mine is leaking but I can't get the pan off to replace the gasket.

I use a 1/4 drive universal on a long extension. it works really well.

I would lift the motor too its only 2 nuts to remove.

What a pain in the arse!

A long phillip head,look for a holes in the frame to go thru,maybe ,it`s been a while.Lift the engine lightly if not.

I usually lift the engine up. On EA81's anyway, you pretty much have to. Gives you a chance to inspect other stuff too.
