April 6, 201114 yr I have a 98 Legacy L Wagon and need some parts. I broke the tensioner for the alternator idler pulley. I need a new rear hatch latch/handle. Heater temp knob. Sun visors... I have called many used auto parts dealers in Western Wisconsin with no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated.
April 6, 201114 yr There is no alternator idler so I'll assume you mean the AC ilder. The plastic tensioner nut is $6 at the dealer. They break all the time. No point in getting a used one. For the rest of the stuff - post in the wanted section. GD
April 6, 201114 yr Author Hmm, I must be describing it wrong. The tensioner pulley has a long bolt that moves the pulley to adjust the tension. The part where the bolt threads into split. I thought it was pot metal or something. I believe it is all one piece that the pulley is mounted on.
April 6, 201114 yr The only accessory belt idler on your car is on the AC belt. The alt moves up and down to tension the belt for the alt and the PS pump.
April 7, 201114 yr As I said - you need the plastic tensioner nut. It is not "pot metal" - it is plastic and it's $6. Trust me on this.... GD
April 7, 201114 yr ^ what GD said. Its item 7 on this illustration: http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/us_b11/type_30/climate/compressor/illustration_2/ 73134AC010
April 8, 201114 yr If i follow you correctly, there is the long tensioning bolt and related. Before adjustment there are locking bolts which must must be untighted to certain point. They may adhere over time.
April 29, 201312 yr As such there are a number of online dealers who can provide you this part. Still I will suggest you to go through http://www.hiperformer.com/where-to-go/ this is because they have huge network of Hiperformer dealer from top wrecking yards nationwide and also have used auto parts for different car models.
