April 25, 201114 yr Why? Not why do you want one, style is umm, a personal preference, but if you think you need one you greatly over estimate the power of that poor little EA-82 in your car.
April 25, 201114 yr Author I love how everyone is a genius here. I suppose my wording was incorrect. The little wing that sits on the back window. And it an ea 82t get it right little nukka
April 26, 201114 yr Sorry, I'll spot you the 10 extra HP, so you want the one that goes on the bottom of the window? And I'd recommend not using nukka again unless you want to go to banned camp.
April 27, 201114 yr Author I bet I could make friends at banned camp I think the 09 sti sedan came with the one im talking about. Also the focus, but there's are ugly.
April 27, 201114 yr Obviously we have no idea wtf you're talking about. and, since the 09 sti sedan is not a thing ('08-10 STI were only avail as a hatch), you need to spend some time with google image search and show us.
April 27, 201114 yr Guys guys guys.....if you have no clue, keep your trap shut! I know exactly what he's talking about and he's right about some of the late model Subaru's have a Roof Vane or Wind Deflector at the TOP of the back window. Oh hey, look.....it was a optional item from Subaru I believe the Toyota Celica of that same era also had one. And btw, I have been trying to figure something out for this for about a year now. I'll let you know what I come up with.
April 28, 201114 yr Author And since you say that I would look at 85 and older supra I think thats th car your thinking of.
April 28, 201114 yr Author Are any of these catalogs actually still function. Or is there say a new age one I could order a "roof vane" from.
April 28, 201114 yr Probably the only way to even look to see if any of its still available, is to know someone in Japan or go over there yourself. The Brochures are quite obsolete. I'm pretty sure FHI purged all these old parts out of the warehouse years ago. The only way to do this is to retrofit from another make/model. Years ago I did see one in the junkyard on a Toyota, probably a Supra.
April 28, 201114 yr I think I've figured out how to attach the new style roof vane to the RX rear window but I don't have one yet so its all irrelevant:-\
April 29, 201114 yr Author Thats bad azz guys. How much does one cost. And do think u can keep it all one piece or is it too wide? Is the new wing carbon fiber?
April 29, 201114 yr someone would have to go steal this on someone's car, try to fit it to theirs, and then come here to answer your question. all of the knowledge on this board is first-hand, initially.
April 29, 201114 yr The ones of the 06 or so STI can be found on eBay for relatively cheep, they are carbon fiber or fiber glass depending on how much you want to spend , I'm not sure if they would have to be cut or not. I was planing on getting one soon for my 02 WRX http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STI-UNPAINTED-ROOF-SPOILER-02-07-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem33624cf4b7QQitemZ220692542647QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_3958wt_941
April 29, 201114 yr someone would have to go steal this on someone's car, try to fit it to theirs, and then come here to answer your question. all of the knowledge on this board is first-hand, initially. Seriously? ALL of the knowledge (initially)? You have contributed nothing to this thread other than to say one would have to steal a item to see if it would fit
April 29, 201114 yr It'll have to be cut down IIRC, as the ones from an STi mount on the C-pillars. I've actually been thinking about connecting it onto my RX's back window somehow. Got a couple ideas but nothing concrete yet.
April 29, 201114 yr If you look at the one thats on ebay, it has a sharper curve then the RX does. Not sure if that can be flattened out or not. I'm currently doing a search for the Toyota MKll Supra roof spoiler, there might be a aftermarket one available. http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/pts/2350907151.html Edited April 29, 201114 yr by Turbone
