Sorry for the crappy pic, but I tow this all the time in the summer with my GL.

The ea81, D/R 5speed, and disc brakes do a fine job keeping everything under control. I just take it easy, go the speed limit, slow down before corners, etc. I pretend I'm driving a big truck, the all my CDL training comes to mind and I do fine.

Is it an aluminum boat? If it is, that plus a 15hp engine probably don't weigh more than 350 lbs. How much does your trailer weigh? If it's just a small one-axle boat trailer probably not much. If it isn't a home made trailer (like mine...) it should have a sticker on it with specs/ratings.

I made a custom rear bumper.

Towing the boat is fine, just take it easy. Don't be dumb, leave a nice following distance, slow down BEFORE corners, etc.

A little ghetto, sort of hacked together, but here it is.

Does what it's designed to do. That's the point of this car. Cheap and functional.
