Hunting for a XT6 lug stud

Featured Replies

Hey, does anyone know a good source to get xt6 lug studs, or know a place that would probably have a wide enough selection of bolts to have something comparable? So far I've tried Shmucks, Carquest, Autozone, Smart, and my local dealership, all with no luck. I tried a stud off a regular GL and it was way too small. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one? and would it be possible that the studs off a first-gen legacy would work?

As long as the stud is a 12x1.25 it will work.

Umm no not quite. The base where it presses into the hub is different between a lot of the studs which is why its hard to find one that works.

OP, good luck finding some. I've been looking for them for the last 4 or 5 years with no success...

Oh really! Did not know that. Thanks. :)

I bought a box of them on rock auto a few years ago. Looks like they still carry a selection.

the knurl diameter is smaller on the fronts than an EJ stud. But, as a result, I have a bunch sitting on my workbench in good condition (pressed out of the hub, not pounded).

just ordered some from SOA...for $7.60 a piece. Great reminder why I hate buying ANYTHING from dealerships.

Wow...they took you for a ride...

yeah, but i needed it ASAP. working at a tire shop and seeing more then a few wheels fall off from people failing to apply proper torque leaves me a little paranoid of running without the proper number of studs.

Kinda hard to tell....but this was the first day driving my wagon with the 5-lug swap. I drove it for about a week with 3 studs on each back wheel....

I know there are some used ones in my bins here I just need to know the knurl diameter if someone has one that is removed I will measure them and am happy to ship them for little to no cost.
