Every Subaru I have owned with a EJ has had them cracked, some small cracks, some the Grand Canyon, only half caused a CEL code.

 

They are a routine maintenane replacement item. I I replace mine every tune up now.

The CEL only kicked on recently. It has been running like total garbage lately.
