February 24, 201214 yr i inspected my hydraulic lash adjusters and one is spongy, so is there anyway to prime them or is it done?
February 24, 201214 yr you can probably just call it bad and throw it out get another one. You can take it out, and try to prime it, but i bet it won't hold and will get soft again. To prime- get a small cup of oil, and a thumbtack. You hold it under oil, while pushing the thumbtack in the bleed hole, then press and release bleed it. You will see air come out, and it will get firm again, but i bet it is shot.
February 25, 201214 yr Upon re-assembly won't they pump themselves up if they are good, or do they always have to be bled?
