Check under the carpet behind the rear seats. There should be an access plate on the passenger side with 4 bolts in it. remove them and you should see the fuel pump assembly sticking out of the tank.

Yes, right behind the rear passenger seat.

in the 97 I took the seat out, only to realize that if I just tilted it forward the access panel was right there.

i have not compared the 97 access to the 00 access, but i think they may have move it to a location under the back seat, a little more forward than the 97 location.

 

does any one else know?

remove rear (bottom) passenger seat.

remove plastic retainer clip

remove door sill cover

pull black rubber mat toward drivers side

football shaped metal cover with four phillips screws

under the rear seat bun on pasenger side under cover {warning ! the plastic line out puts are very fragile carefull ]
