they are WAY to stiff ...

I am one of those who have used Tempo Coil Springs on EA82 Subarus, and as far as I Know the V6 Tempos with Auto Trans + A/C uses a Coil Spring which is way too stiff, some USMB members have cutted one and a half turns out of those in order to let them work; I used the ones from a 4 Cyl, engined Tempo with manual trans, also the ones I used where from a Junk Yard, so they were not too stiff, I used them Without cutting anything.

The Part Numbers of those two different Tempo's Coil Springs are given in This Writeup:

I Guess that you obtained the Stiffer ones.

Kind Regards.

not sure how far to go with the lift?

2" w/ springs and 2" blocks w/o body lift or if im going to body lift it should i do 2" 4" 6" ?

post-47875-0-27094300-1377226658_thumb.jpg

W/ 2inch strut top lift AND stiffer/taller springs you are gonna want to drop the crossmember a bit.  1 or 2 inches.  If not you will be hitting the axle shafts against the A-arm pivot points, and you'll eat axles and tires like crazy.

Also, you will want to undo the clip on the small end of the inner CV boots.  Slide the small end of the boot up the shaft a bit, and reclamp it.

Running this "over stock" geometry will stretch and tear the CV boots shortly if you don't reposition the CV boots.

Will make it sit up stiff and tall, but since you aren't making the strut longer you will be shortening the amount of travel.

Just thouught it was better than buying honda springs and these older cars can be droopy in the bum

Teh spring would be so compressed once assembled, that there would be no travel left.  The coils would be touching eachother.  might as well put a solid bar in there.

Similar in concept to this mod I've done, but much less extreme.  I used the old spring perch from an old shock, flippped over underneath the perch of the new shock.
