New Owner of a 1979 Subaru Wagon

Featured Replies

Hey guys!

I've wandered around on the forum little for the last year or so dreaming of when I could finally own a first gen wagon and that has now become a reality.  Monday afternoon I found a 79 wagon and craigslist in Salem, Oregon and that night I drove down and bought it!

It drives pretty well and isn't in too bad of shape.  The driver door is mismatched and there is some added paint that is a little off in color but thats okay with me for now! I have a little experience with cars but my roommate is very vehicle savvy so I am excited to learn on this guy.  I look forward to look to some of you for a little help along the way as well!

Yea, I was able to talk him down quite a bit actually.  Got it for only $540.

Looks great! I'd like a wagon someday, myself. :)

sell ya mine lol

looks like a cool wagon man love the fake wood grain

Nice work.  That's a pretty cool looking wagon despite the paint.  We're going to need more pics...engine, interior, etc.

It's a Woody ! ... ... Gotta love an original, bit tricky to restore the paint though ...

Cheers, Bantum ...
