shortlid Posted December 31, 2013 Share Posted December 31, 2013 I have a '03 Subaru Legacy GT sedan. I Dislike Day time running lightsan dwould liek to disable them on this car. Turbone Posted December 31, 2013 Share Posted December 31, 2013 Not sure where your box is located on that model, but try looking between the passenger side shock tower and firewall. If you see a silver rectangular box that says "CAUTION-HOT", there will be a connector plug to it. All you need to do is disconnect this to disable the DRL. If its not there it will be inside the car behind the glove box. You will prob need to remove the glove box to get to it. Same thing applies tho, just unplug it. There should be a box with two plugs going into it, a black one and a white one. The side should say something along the lines of DRL system or Day Time Running Light Control, I can't quite remember. Did this on my '04 Outback You were correct on my '03 just unplug the white connector to the black box next to the steering shaft! Easy peasy!
