I know this; the pressure plate they have available for an '84 GL with a 1.8....is not a pressure plate for an '84 ea 1.8

True. I was also burned on a clutch job today. Ordered a Luk brand clutch kit for an 85 brat and didn't find out until the brat was on the hoist without its trans that they sent some other unit that is too small. Was also burned on an axle for my '84 DL.

My pressure plate was too small as well...and joy of joys, the only other parts they have listed; are out of stock! Woohoo!

So im swearing off Rockauto. If i can source it locally, thats what ill do.

I have ordered many items from RA, never once have I received the wrong part.

Got to be sure what you are ordering. as most parts houses usually get mixed up between the EA81 and EA82.

I got a wrong part once, they quickly resolved the issue.
