May 12, 200421 yr Hi, when talking to friends back east, I found someone that knew someone, that saw some heads sitting on the shelf...they asked... they were for a 90's + Subaru with an EA82. They have new Valves, guides, and all kinds of other things done..valve grind, head decked .020...or something like that... they want to sell, but I don't know what to offer.. any ideas?? May 12, 200421 yr Turbo? SPFI? MPFI? (90+ means they would be gen 3 and probably not turbo... I would check to make sure though)

May 13, 200421 yr Author after asking more questions, their off of a SPFI... the owner said he'd take $200 for both....I took him up on it... But, thanks for the input anyway...that subaru site was quite informative. Thanks again, mark
May 13, 200421 yr $130 got a complete SPIF car. And $50 more into it, its runs and drives great and its reliable...and i can abuse it, and it keeps on going. Id pass on the heads...unless you have the $ to burn and really really need them for an engine.
May 13, 200421 yr isnt a .020 shave too much? I think .010 is the limit otherwise the intake mani will have trouble fitting...hope this isnt the case...
