September 30, 201411 yr Hi guys, Sorry I didn't know where the correct place for the topic is...But I've been wondering when Subaru changed their emblem from the one of 70's cars to the one it is today. Like adding the blue background and changing the orientation of the stars.
September 30, 201411 yr Late 80s. My 87 GL has the old logo, my girlfriends 93 Loyale has the newer logo. Somewhere between 87 and 93
September 30, 201411 yr With the introduction of the Subaru Legacy in 1989 (The Legacy Production started in December 1988) The change was previously featured in some Prototypes as well, during mid / late 1980's decade. Kind Regards.
September 30, 201411 yr I didn't know the Loyale came with the later badge. In NZ all Leones seemed to come with the old badge and Leagcies with the new.
October 1, 201411 yr Right around 1989. A 1990 Loyale should have the new logo. An 89 GL should have the old one. An early legacy with an 89 build date will have the new logo.
