October 23, 201411 yr http://www.boxeer.com/ee20_vw_conversion http://www.smallcar.com/index.php?dispatch=pages.view&page_id=61 drool. Money, minor detail.
October 23, 201411 yr Great if you've got a VW because not much else will fit in the engine bay without mods, but the performance figures of these engines are pretty bad (but better than anything else available standard though) eg 2.0L Diesel engine in the Hyundai ix35 has 180hp & 289 lb-ft with equivalent fuel economy to the Forester and a slight upgrade to 2.2L Diesel engine in the Hyundai Santa Fe has 193hp & 321 lb-ft I personally wouldn't be converting my Subaru for a few years until they've got some time & development under their belts.
October 23, 201411 yr Author the stock 1.6D was only 52 hp and 71 ft/lbs of torque, and a engine life measured with a minute hand, so I would do it in a heartbeat (with lottery winnings). The 1.5D was 48hp!
October 27, 201411 yr I just wannt to know if the chain drive can be used on a 2.5 Different motor different design You would be better off looking for a complete "FB" motor and then finding an after market computer system to run it. TOONGA
December 26, 201411 yr I would love to convert everything I own to diesel, but the subaru is gonna have to wait until the engines wind up in pull and save.
