November 10, 201411 yr I have a '05 Legacy GT and I started getting a misfire on cylinder 2, anyways after checking I pulled the injector connector for #2 and it had no effect at all on the idle.. the injector is no good? I wont be able to replace the injector until tomorrow morning. I will say when I did replace the plugs it was slightly wet.
November 10, 201411 yr Hi, You can check the injectors resistance - should be 10-12 Ohms, I believe, but I'd compare to another 1 or 2 as I'm going off what earlier year side-feed injectors are. But does sound 'dead'. BTW, the side-feed yellows in your '05 are the same as '04-'06 STI, Forester XT, Baja turbo, & Outback XT use. TD Edited November 10, 201411 yr by wtdash
November 10, 201411 yr Well you narowed the problem down to one cylinder so its going to be either an injector, plug, or wire. I would check the plug and wire just in case, but it does sound like the injector is at fault
November 10, 201411 yr Author These idiots at the post office yesterday said I was not home now this morning they are like it's out with the driver.. how they can get by with customer service is beyond me...
November 10, 201411 yr Before swapping in a new injector, I'd try swapping the injector with a different cylinder (i.e. disconnect, and place over a different cyl, then reconnect with that cyl.'s harness) reset the codes, then see if your misfire code (P0302) follows the injector into it's new cylinder (like a P0301) or stays stays as a (P0302 cyl. #2 misfire). A "wet" plug means it's getting gas but weak spark, or too much gas. Edited November 10, 201411 yr by Bushwick
