Would appreciate some input on the Ground Wire Kits that are advertised on Ebay. Are they any help for a smooth running engine? mtm.man1

Its kinda like snake oil salesmen back in the 1700's. Supposedly a fix all cure for anything wrong with your car. Get real, quicker throttle response, higher top end power all from ground straps.

 

If you have a grounding problem then save your $50-$80 bucks on that kit and make your own straps from 4 guage wire you can buy from a sterio shop.

I agree with taprackready. It can help though...I noticed smoother idle and less dimming lights on my old civic, have not tried it on the sube yet

Make sure you at least run a wire from each head to the chassis and a couple off the battery to the chassis too

Maybe so, but the cool neon colors they come in can really class up an old, greasy engine compartment.

I'm in pretty bad need of good ground wires. I still wouldnt buy this 'kit'. You can go get perfectly good ground wiresat lots of different stores. I'l be getting some from Fleet Farm
