Does any one know if permatex blue will work for sealing my 82 ea81 crankcase halves (the machine face on machine face)together?

If it's like the ej22t motors, I'd recommend permatex ultra-grey.  Below is a list of Subaru sealants and their aftermarket equivalent.

No its not the ej series plus turbo is very different from the ea series

But the if it was an ea with a turbo their a little more alike

What I linked to is for all ej series motors, turbo & non-turbo.

I use Loctite 518 flange sealer on the case halves.

I have years using Ultra Grey / Mega Grey as well, always with Great Results.

There is a friend of mine who owns a machine shop that swears by HONDABOND.

Lil off topic but I'm on my phone so this will have to do can any one locate a 1983 brat sissy vacuum advance I can not find one

Does anyone know if I can use a power steering pump from a 97 outback on a 99 Forester...it will bolt right on its just lil smaller..don't know if it will work or not
