Not sure about other state insurance regs.... but in OR, you can add just comprehensive.  (Have to have liability by law).

  My comp is only a few bucks more per month.   Collision, on the other hand, is VERY expensive... which is why I don't have it.

If you hit a deer, road hazard, flying rock, or a tree falls on your car ... comp will cover it.

Ah, I'll have to look. Collision is what I dropped that made the big difference.

same. never have asked for only comprehensive, thought comprehensive only came with the full coverage package, interesting...

I only carry liability on a few of my Soobs ... the ones that I drive.   However, all my Soobs have comprehensive coverage (to cover fire, hail and theft).     I can't afford collision on any of them.

it just doesn't make sence on such an old vehicle, where you can find another for $500 or less and when you do crash, insurance "values" your vehicle barely at 1,000 if your lucky.. waste of everything, no point.
