1999 legacy outback low fuel light?

Featured Replies

The topic says it all. Do I have one? It certainly doesn't work on mine. ...

Thanks!

Best bet is to check your owners manual.

If I remember correctly, my 1997 legacy outback had one. So I'd say yours does. But again, best place to check is the owners manual if you have it.

i'll bet it does.

have you ever run out of gas?

when you fill up,

how many gals. do you pump?

my guess is you only pump 10 - 12 gals.

the light comes on when you have about 2 gals. lwft.

the tank holds 60 liters, 15.9 gals.

run it dry one time and see if i'm not right.

see? i told you it worked.

you could carry a gallon or 2 with you when the tank gets low. Drive till light comes on or the car stalls.

still, I'd hate the thought of stalling in traffic.
