Changing EA-81 fuel injected engine to carb.

Featured Replies

Hi, Can I change the intake manifold on a EA-81 fuel injected engine and use a carb on it? Also should I leave the injectors in, or should I put plugs in the injector holes? Thank you, Carl     My email is: wainlee@Hotmail.com

Thanks, Yes it was a turbo engine. I am wanting to switch it over to a weber, and use it in a trike.

Sell me the EA81T parts!  You'll probably want to start with a carb'd engine.  The turbo ones have lower compression pistons that will really hurt the power output of an N/A engine.

Not sure what all I have left. What do you need? Been a couple of years since I salvaged the car out.  wainlee@Hotmail.com

Heads, engines, wiring, sensors, etc.  Anything related at all to the EA81T engine.

I have a friend here in St. Louis with a carbed ea81, only 55000 miles, already out of the car. Not sure he'd part with it but he might in exchange for your ea81Turbo motor.
