EA 82 wast of time ?

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I picked up my first Subi earlier this year, its a 85 GL wagon. When I seen it I couldn't  leave it behind. I will be on here often for guidance , lol.

Certainly not a waste of time in my mind.  I bought a nearly new one in '85, my first Subaru--liked it so much I bought a second one!

Welcome to the USMB! You won't find a better resource for older Subaru information than right here in my opinion. I think that the EA82 is a good engine. They will easily run for 200k or more if the maintenance is kept up. I am currently restoring an '88 DL and it's one of my favorite cars. Sooo, do we get to see pictures of your '85? :D

My Subie is also an '85 that my dad purchased New then,

Thirty years and 400K+ Miles and its EA82 still is Great!

The Lousy timing belt setup is their only downside,

But those are non-interference engines ... :) ...

The Plattform is Great as well.

Kind Regards.

I guess I Don't know how, I will figure out how tho, soon

Bought my 1993 Loyale new in 1994. Had it ever since. If you want easy to maintain, reliable transportation, it is worth it.

If you want formula one performance, look elsewhere.
