I have spare axles and knuckles for our 2001 Forester.  I'm trying to find out if they are the same as those on a 2009 Forester.

 

The hubs I suspect are different, since the 09 has big Al wheels, and the 01 has steel wheels.

 

 

check opposed forces. find part, click on usage and see if the other year is listed.

Wheels make no difference.

09 has different knuckles that use unit bearings. Not sure if old ones are compatible or not, though. Manual transmission axles are different, they're female axles on the 01 and male axles on the 09, not sure about automatic.
