So according to your chart I should use the 87AC axle for carburated 4WD?

Yes, looks like you need the 87ac axle.  You can compare it to what you currently have to verify.

Here lies my problem... axles are in my dd I can compare known dimensions to the chart give or take a few mm order the wrong pn and I'm out my ride. Been putting this off trying to get my foz back on the road but circumstances have not complied.

Go to Knechts. I've gotten plenty of axles from them. About the same price. Have them cross ref. with a 1984, or just get '84 axles, should be the same.

Ive only gotten one really bad one thru them. Easier than dealing with amazon for return/exchange. Never as good as origionals. Its usually the same empi axles on amazon.

Get oem axles. Just returned 3 of 4 amwi I believe. Maybe they were empi... Total hassle. The fourth is starting to act up after a week of use.

Called the local dealer and the EA81 axles are not available from them.  I figured the price would be the deal breaker though.
