dash warning lights won't go off

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Subaru freaks,

I just got my 84 GL wagon running again. Now my dash warning lights (voltage, parking brake, a couple others) won't turn off. It's like they are on half bright though. When i pull the parking brake the light doubles in brightness.  Is this a fuse or maybe a warning my alternater is about to crap out?

Thanks,

Stoner Dude

Sounds like that.

You might start by Verifying the Alternator's Voltage output in different RPM's range.

it should not surpass 14V max, nor be lower than 12V min.

Kind Regards.
