November 3, 20169 yr is there any bad effects of just removing the steering wheel and putting it back on strait?
November 3, 20169 yr Author dam. how do i get it strait again? Edited November 3, 20169 yr by sirtokesalot
November 3, 20169 yr undo one end of your u joint off the splines, go back into car, straighten wheel, then put ujoint end back on. you'll have to loosen both ends of the ujoint to get it to slide off. Probably same way you installed it.
November 3, 20169 yr Author well i took it apart and re did it and now its very close im going to leave it like that i think its one tooth off on the splines and ill fix it when i decide to replace the rack. already have the new rack just dont feel like doing it yet.
November 3, 20169 yr So, no offense to Matt, but I've removed my steering wheel multiple times on many different Subies to straighten it, and never had any issues. Granted, this was probably less than a 1/4 turn.........Is there a 'point of no return' if you overdo it?
