February 26, 20179 yr Yes. The Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ are twins. History shows Subaru did most of the engineering but Toyota/scion took equal credit. Nifty cars. Sad they aren't AWD.
February 26, 20179 yr BRZ, FRS, and GT86 are all the same car, just with different badges and slight tweaks. The car was a joint project between toyota and subaru. In the us, toyota sold theirs under the scion badge.
March 15, 20179 yr They could of offered AWD as an option as they did with their models till 94 (93 for Impreza) But the idea behind this car was to be a RWD N/A corner machine. For SUBARU it worked out, but I think the FT86 was a sad attempt to bring back the AE86 Corrola (Hachiroku) drift machine that Toyota was so strongly trying to reinvision.
