92 loyale 2in lift. 15x9 rims questions....

Featured Replies

So i have these rims that are 15in round by 9in wide. Im trying to find a tire size for those rims so i can do my 6 lug hub redrill. I have rear disc, 2in lift on the shock towers only (cross member stock) and im planning on trimming the fenders as needed. Definitely looking more aggressive all Terrains. As of now im still running 175/70/r13. Also i have the dual range 5 speed in this car if that makes any difference.

Big ones lol  or maybe 235/75/15 there everywere the 235/70/15 are a  realy nice size those are wide rims your gona need a big tire the tread should at least be as wide as the rim so look up how wide the tire is that you want to buy compared to your rim i think the 235/75 are 9.5 wide anything wider than 9" will work maybe even down to 8.5 but i wouldent go any smaller you may also want to glue your tires to your rim also if you want to run lower tire presures the bead will pop easyer than say a 7" wide rim

i wouldn't go over 27s either. i have 29s on a 2 inch lift and it really sucks. rubs like mad after a lot of trimming and it kills the power

@ferp420, do you have any other rims you might want to trade that are not so wide. I have two sets.

Im not planning on going any taller then 27" maybe 26" or so. I dont understand tire sizes so im trying to figure out what size it would be.

If you google min tire size for a 15x9 rim it comes up with alot of tire sizes one being a 235x70x15 its around 28" and fits that rim i have a set of 15x7s off of a rodeo but im not sure i want to get rid of them just yet

I know of a junk yard in the bay area that sells them cheap they used to have racks of pug wheels to both alloy and steelies in 14 and 15"

@ferp420, how much do you think those 15" pugs are in that area, if i remember right, you around that area from time to time. Are you coming by mariposa in the near future? If so we could maybe work something out. You should still have my phone number, yes?

I finally found my tape measure. So edge to edge. Its 9.5in wide on these 15" rims

The steal rims were $25 each alloy i think are 35 each but its been a while they might be more now ill be in mariposa in a few weeks and in the bay area this weekend im hoping ill try to stop by the junk yard and see what they have last i checked they still had a few sets and these guys dont scrap anything so unless some one snatched them up ill bet there still there
