Maybe a stupid question 2008 Outback

Featured Replies

If the engine is out of a 2008 outback wagon, can I haul it with a car dolly without harming the trans or AWD?

Edited by 3Pin

Removal of the engine doesn't [necessarily] change anything with the transmission, axles, or driveshaft.

Still have to disconnect the driveshaft from the rear diff to do it correctly.

manual? might tow better with all 4 down (speed and distance limitations?)

automatic could be even worse than engine in depending on what had to be disconnected.
