Rwalen2 Posted August 2, 2017 Author Share Posted August 2, 2017 I got no code from the ecu or the magic hand shake. This car sat for about two years with a harmonic balancer key way issue. I pulled the engine and went through it fixed the crank got a new balancer and now it runs good but the trans wants to ( pop in and out of gear forward or reverse ) . 1 Lucky Texan Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 is the trans pan dented? sometimes, a fluid change or 2 or 3 and maybe use of Trans-X will help with delayed engagement and other issues. um - be sure to check trans fluid level while idling. wtdash Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 OBD2 scanner doesn't help w/Trans issues, AFAIK. The 'secret handshake' should tell you the code, if any, that is stored.
