If donor doesn’t have EGR then install it as is. If donor has EGR you’ll block off the EGR port. If you have a 1995 MT then that’s a non-EGR engine. GeneralDisorder Posted October 28, 2017 Share Posted October 28, 2017 (edited) There really wasn't a 95 Outback. It was just some decals and trim bits. They didn't have the suspension or the 2.5 engine of the "real" outbacks. That started in 96. So for mechanical discussion, it's a 95 Legacy. Head gaskets is not a rebuild. That's a reseal. COMPLETELY different things. If you are just doing HG's they can easily be done in the car - no need to swap. For that matter you can pull it in the morning, install HG's and do other reseal tasks and easily put it back in and not be late for dinner.
