Broken wheel stud, EA81, What's next?

Featured Replies

One front wheel stud is broken off of my 1984 gl 4wd.

Do I need to replace the whole plate?

I was able to pound the wheel stud out!

Any suggestions on how to press in the new one?

Old lug nut, fender washer, and some grease is the easiest DIY way. Or pull the hub off and hammer it in with a socket supporting the hub on the threaded side.

SPRAY  WD-40 ON IT AND WAIT ONE HOUR THEN TAKE I GOOD PUNCH AND HIT IT WITH A LARGE HAMMER  THE NEW ONE PUT IN AND TAKE A WHEEL NUT AND TIGHTEN IT DOWN AND IT WILL SINK IN TO THE SPLINES
