Title says it all. The relay that is controlled off of the brake pedal, doesn't actuate anymore. Therefore I have to press the shift-lock button every time I need to go from Park to drive or reverse, etc etc.

Is there a switch that controls that relay that is tied to the brake pedal? Is this a common issue?

Mine has gotten intermittent.  Soon I'll be digging into it.

You mean the thumb button on the side of the T-handle ?

On the last models of Loyale, they made a solenoid interlocked with the brake pedal that prevents the shift button from being pressed / lever from moving.  I'm more likely to disable the "feature"  since my 87 is identical, and does not have this interlock.

Mine is a '90 and it doesn't have that interlock either.

My 92 and 93 have it.  They also had the annoying motorized seatbelts.

 

Yeah, it definitely has the interlok. I suppose I could bypass it, but figured I would ask and see if it was easily fixed without changing anything from stock.
