Car wont move

Featured Replies

I drive a 2001 outback automatic. I can put the car into gear no problem but when I put the petal to the floor it won’t move in any gear. I got it towed and the driver said the front wheels were locked. Is this a transmission issue or something else? (fingers crossed something else)

I have a 4eat in my 99 legacy that does something similar to what you describe. I drain the fluid and change the external filter when this starts to happen. I've heard trans x really helps with this type of thing. Not sure if this is the same problem you're having or not.

1. Was it towed on a flat bed or with some wheels on the ground?

2. to where was it towed?

3. is the car new to you? has it been well maintained? were fluid levels checked (particualry trans fluid, it must be check while idling.)
