EA81 Throttle body FI fuel pump issues.

Featured Replies

My fuel pump has sprung a leak and I've bought a couple different replacement pumps but neither of them seem to send enough fuel pressure. Any recommendations on the proper replacement pump?

Your EA81 doesn't have fuel injection, so a FI-rated pump is going to flood your carb from the get-go.

I’ve never seen a fuel pump spring a leak - unless it’s a mechanical one off the side of the engine from back in the day, and even that was rare!

Got any pics of it leaking? I’d reckon the issue would be more to do with the EFI fuel hose leaking due to age. I’ve had that before.

Cheers
