They dont make things last anymore

Featured Replies

I am thinking of writing Subaru very sternly worded letter. STERNLY!

215,000 miles and I blew a flex brake line. What crap. They just dont make things last anymore :)

Can we assume that you are posting about your 2005 subaru?  And did metal connection rust off or did the hose pop out of its ferrule?

Yes and I don't know. Tomorrow it goes to the mechanic to find out. I'm having all the lines replaced.

I haven't blown a brake line since 1982

Have now!

I hope it wasn’t too traumatic for those in the vehicle.

Cheers

Bennie

I had the long hard line running to the back wheels rot and leak out abruptly in my '95 a couple of years ago.  I was in the city at night in very unpleasant winter weather.  That experience is a sound argument for manual transmissions.

The line burst. It had been subject to brake recall and was fixed
