91 loyale auto to manual

Featured Replies

I have a 91 Loyale with a 1.8L and an automatic 4wd.I have an ej22 + 5 speed DR.Unless I am mistaken I need a mt driveshaft and pedal assembly and a clutch cable to put the manual in.Rear diff is 3.9 so I'm good there.Due to the passage of time I also need a shift linkage and a MT trans crossmember.Anything else I'm missing?

If you're dropping an EJ22 into an original EA82 loyale, you'll have to have the wiring harness, etc. to go along with the different engine/trans combo also.

Double check the ratio of the gearbox. They also come as 3.7 ratio.

Cheers

I'm not too concerned with the speciifcs of swapiing in a ej22 into the loyale.Ive done that many times,Even into ea81's.I've just never converted one from auto to manual.

My EA82 auto to manual conversion went well

The gearbox xmem is same auto to manual but think later auto had extra Tran tunnel brace

You need to make a wire bridge for trans selector connector close to gear stick. It is a surprisingly fat cable you need make a loop with two male spades each end from memory , did mine 2007
