February 24, 20206 yr Hi, new guy from TN. After wanting a BRAT for 40 years, finally got one... Sitting under a tree, "Ran when I parked it there".... Ignition switch broken so raided my stash and rewired. Now will run on fuel supplied directly to the carb but the fuel pump itself is very noisy and not pumping fuel. But I have a BRAT! and all sorts of plans for it..... VANDAL
February 27, 20206 yr hello from bellvue! good score!. i used a universal electric pump from napa years ago with success. i think it cost me 30$
February 28, 20206 yr Danny Williams in Johnson City or near there these days , he is/was a junkie for those 80-84 Coupes and in general a Gen Two guy. If you’re local or find Danny on the Internet he may be helpful down the line. I’m pretty sure he had parts yet to unload and maybe a Brat or Hatchback to help you out. “dannybreadman” - definitely on eBay , and maybe here too. Not that your Brat needs anything , looks great. But I don’t have to tell you about being on the east side of the USA and how rare these are becoming. Enjoy !
August 13, 20205 yr Author Got it running... had a strange very unique "knock".... found this in Number 1.... all cleaned up and repaired.... on to fuel injection and super charger..... Joe
August 13, 20205 yr Author Fuel Injection installed, TBI500 from a 1989 Pontiac Sunbird, controls by Microsquirt.... Now onto supercharger....
August 13, 20205 yr Looks like an awesome project! The single port injection from the Pontiac is an interesting way to go about it. And was that a snapped bolt in the cylinder? That’d be annoying to say the least! Cheers Bennie Edited August 13, 20205 yr by el_freddo

August 14, 20205 yr Author Thanks, no idea where it came from.... but apparently was very new, at least at the time it was parked, I actually am guessing they parked it due to the "knock". Joe
