05 LLbean Forester mirrors on 02

Featured Replies

Any thoughts? Has anyone else done it?  They're sort of on there not wired up just mounted on the car. I think that they look pretty sweet on there. Kind of a pain in the a** though.

Not done it but I like the look of the indicator in the side mirror housing. I’d like to replicate that on my earlier model Subys.

Cheers

I have a heated one on the drivers side of my 02 (mine is the same color, too), also not wired up yet.. =/

but yeah, i like the look of those.

Just got them all wired up today. That was a little easier than I expected. It's one of the better mods I've done to the car.

Wasn't that lucky for it to be plug and play but I have the fsm for the 02 and got the wiring schematic off a Forester forum for the 05 and made a jumper harness going between the two.

Luckily I had gotten the gusset also with the mirror being as its different. The mirrors have different mounting points.  Not one of the holes lined up. The gussets have four mounting points three on the top and one on the bottom. The three on top lined up pretty well. The bottom one didn't. I left the bottom one out since the mirror felt stable enough with just the three.

I hope this helps.
