Gas mileage vs/vs

Featured Replies

So I've got an 85 brat and I'm gonna buy my kids turbo coupe off her. I'm moving and will have about a 90 mile round trip commute after the move. Which one would most likely get better mileage in normal conditions.

Neither is very good, but the Brat should beat the Turbo by a hair. My Brat averages about 26-27.... the turbo's weren't real economical.... probably 25 at best, but could be as low as 20.

I'll have to agree with GD, but only in part. In the city I don't get that good of mileage with my 87 turbo, but on the highway I can get close to 30.

How much of the trip will be highway miles? Figure that out and then determine from there.

Just my 02 cents i guess!

Kyle

I have never gotten better than 23 in any of my Turbowagons under any conditions.

However I have been beating the piss out of this 83 brat for a week or so in short, around town hops and it seems to be hangin in ther at about 25 mpg

well the whole trip is highway miles but it is also up and over a mountain, town A 6500ft to town b 7200ft with a summit crossing of 8500ft then back again. I thought turbo might make better use of gas then carbed, by the way my hicrappy has the secondary mechanical mod on it no more vac.
